Bar Beach is a small yet stunning beach which meets up with Merimbula Lake which has a channel filled a beautiful gradient of turquoise hues flowing by. This spot offers breathtaking views over Merimbula Bay where it meets the hinterland. This is the perfect spot to chill for the day and is very family friendly as during Summer it is protected from the northerly winds, patrolled every day and also has no waves. There can however be a strong tidal current due to being on the lake. If you're confident in the water you can float down the river due to its pull, just keep an eye out for any watercrafts. There are some excellent snorkeling spots if you go further towards the river mouth. "The Bar" is also a popular surfing spots more suited for longboards and stand-up paddlers. There is a kiosk and also amenities with a shower located next to the beach.
